2006 Valley Bike Month CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Saturday, April 1 - Sunday, May 7, 2006

Valley Bike Week is bigger and better than ever—in fact it’s so big that it’s been expanded to Valley Bike Month! And even then, it wouldn’t all fit into thirty days so it’s spilled over into the next month—April 1 through May 7, 2006.

There’s something for everyone, no matter what your bicycling capabilities are. Bike rodeos and short, family fun rides provide family time and something for the kids and less experienced riders. Roadies and mountain bikers will head for the longer rides or competitions.

Everyone’s invited to participate in the 9 th Annual Bicycle Swap Meet on April 15, sponsored by the Coalition of Arizona Bicyclists at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. It’s free for buyers and sellers and the kids (maybe bigger kids, too) will have fun challenging their riding skills at the bike rodeo.

Many Valley employers will hold bike to work or school events during the month and for the appreciators of public art, Scottsdale will host a bike tour of many of its outdoor art pieces.

It’s also a great time to just ride with your fellow club members – and if you do any kind of riding at all during the month, be sure to enter the Valley Bike Month contest.
