Thanks to Kristi for setting this up and the Ghostbike memorial. Lovely artwork and tribute to our fallen cyclists.
I met Bob and his wife Shelly about four years ago when a group of cycling friends went to a play. In addition to biking, Bob also liked to backpack, so I connected with him on that. I got to know them a little more at Mike P.'s wedding reception and I always looked forward to seeing Bob on the Sunday or Friday rides. In 2009, Bob, Mike P. and I went to the White Mountain ride together. We stayed with him when he had a flat and we all hung around together. A few weeks later, Bob shows up on a Sunday ride and said, "I missed you guys!" The feeling was mutual. Bob had a slightly shy demeanor and was a kind, unpretentious man. When Jennal sent out my triathlon results, Bob was the first to congratulate me. What a tragic loss. Bob will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to his family and Shelly.
Good Morning Kings Family, i want to give you my condolences. I will be out of town during
Bobs funeral.
Best Wishes Joe Sorgiovanni!
We will miss Bob!

Bob was always smiling and happy to be riding his bike. I did not know him very well but I always enjoyed seeing him, riding with him and grabbing a bit to eat with him and our group on our Sunday and Friday morning rides.
