Arizona Bicycle Club Website Policy
Adopted February 2, 2000
1. What our website entails.
Several static pages about club purpose and frequently edited pages with rides and links to sites related to club purpose or of interest to members.
2. User profile.
The site will be designed and implemented so that users with minimal computer configurations will be able to effectively use the website.
3. Maintenance tools needed.
Maintenance of the ABC website requires a text editor, a modem connection, and an ftp client. It will be the Website Administrator’s responsibility to keep track of all ABC-owned software licenses and media. All ABC-owned software will be registered and licensed in the name of the Arizona Bicycle Club.
4. Linkage policy.
The Arizona Bicycle Club only hosts information from national, regional and local non-commercial and not-for-profit organizations whose activities are pertinent to the Arizona Bicycle Club through the Ride List (ridelist.html) and Cool Links (coollinks.html) pages. The posting of links will be under the discretion of the Website Administrator; members of the ABC Board may dispute the propriety of any link.
5. Email posting policy.
All Board members and ride leaders with an email address will have it and their telephone number as appropriate on the website unless requested otherwise. Non-individual email accounts will only be used for Arizona Bicycle Club business and should be fully transferable.
6. Credit Card Usage and selling rides/products onsite.
The Arizona Bicycle Club website currently does not support registering for any type of cycling event online. Opportunities to do this must receive a preliminary approval from the board after which a complete investigation is to be conducted and presented to the Board for a final decision.
7. Chapter pages.
It is the responsibility of the Chapter Board representatives to ensure that the information presented on Chapter pages on the website is accurate and dispensed to the Website Administrator in a timely manner.
